How NW/A helped Tappit take the cashless experience to the next level

Following a series of successful business reviews through 2020, NW/A will continue working with its client Tappit on some exciting projects in 2021.

In March 2020 the team at Tappit engaged NW/A to work with the technology team to deliver on its payment and compliance strategy.  Using their consultative approach, NW/A delivered insight and onboarded two new payments gateways after completing a comprehensive compliance audit that ensured compliance with the PSD2 directive and identified actionable areas of opportunity with merchants and Secure Customer Authentication (SCA) patterns across discrete global legislative areas.

This proactive step by the Tappit leadership team would prove to be a game changer as they looked at the challenges in front of them and what they needed to do to future proof their business. “It was very clear at the very outset that Tappit’s leadership team had the tenacity and torque to adapt their business and navigate through the crisis” notes Neil “it was also clear that they would be nimble enough to diversify revenues and maintain a growth mindset throughout”.

As sports and entertainment venues establish new practices that can restore previously reliable revenue streams, the need for safe cashless payments is inevitable. What is very clear is that Tappit is ahead of the competition. By predicting and influencing experiences of the future they have ensured they are ideally positioned for future growth, utilising their unique technology platform.

Tappit’s potential and achievements so far are echoed with an incredible portfolio of clients who are deeply integrating the Tappit technology into their own brand and fan experiences. In the NFL alone this includes the Jacksonville Jaguars and Super Bowl LIV Champions, the Kansas City Chiefs. Jason Thomas, Global CEO at Tappit explains “Whilst the pandemic has caused significant challenges for businesses around the world, Tappit’s ability to deliver a cashless solution and data platform has enabled us to support businesses who are keen to ensure a safe return for their fans. We are excited to work with NW/A given their calibre of associates and experience in the technology sector.”

As 2020 draws to a close, Tappit has the velocity to grow through and beyond this global pandemic. While entertainment and mass participation events will look different going forward, the fans will be back, and their expectations will be higher than ever.
